Open source fan-boy, Ubuntu user, and emergent command line aficionado, I’m one of those people who actually understands (most of) the jokes in XKCD comics.
In 2008 I had a bit of an epiphany. I says to myself, “Self, we’ve been reading since the age of four. Howsabout we try writing something?”
Self got all excited and opened a new Google Docs document, and the rest is history and rejection letters.
OK, not all rejections. I actually have two sci-fi stories that were accepted for anthologies. If the fickleness of the publishing industry allows, the books will appear sometime in 2010.
