Welcome
This is the new home of Trevor Mcpherson, general purpose geek, and author-in-progress.
I tried my hand at minimalist story telling over at Six Sentences, and liked it.
I liked it so much I challenged myself to what I defined as drastically abbreviated fiction on Twitter, and 3S Stories was created, wherein the 3S stands for short-short-short stories.
The support, encouragement, advice and resources provided by these online activities spurred me on, and I went one step further and began writing short stories. I’m currently putting the finishing touches on a couple of stories for submission.
Feedback from early manuscript reviewers has included the phrases ‘creepy,’ “It’s cool, but I don’t really get it,’ and ‘Dude! what the hell is wrong with you?!?’
I’m OK with that. Actually, I’m rather proud of those comments.
If and when I get published, you can find out about it here.
Feel free to check out samples of my writing using the page links at the top of the page.
To provide some continuity and a peek at some of the interests and ideas that inform my writing, I have imported some of the content from my previous home on the web, imnotboerd.net. Grab some snacks and hang out for a bit!
Trevor, I wish you the best and I know you’ll do the rest.
I’ve been out of the loop for about a month or so, and will be rejoining cyber-civilization soon. In the meantime, is there an RSS feed little clicky thing here somewhere?
Trevor–
I can’t wait to read your shorts. Uh, not to be confused with like cut off jeans or undies or anything. Jesus, I can’t believe I just said that. Like I’m going to go through your underwear drawer and read the labels on your briefs or something. *uncomfortable laughter followed by a pause* Oh God, I’m ranting. Anyway, truly am looking forward to your new short stories. I’ve always loved your scifi bits on 6S.
Keep a pencil handy,
~Angel
